Courses taught 2017-2020:
Developing and Teaching an Online Course
In fall 2017 under the direction of our Associate Dean and in partnership with the College eLearning staff, I began developing a fully online ESL course for Advanced II Reading and Writing. This project was undertaken simultaneously with my colleague George Ellington who was responsible for creating the online companion course: Advanced II Listening and Speaking. I worked extensively with the eLearning staff over three semesters. The rigorous process adhered to the Quality Matters standards for online course design and included the following four stages: (1) Planning (2) Design (3) Develop and Assemble (4) Pilot, Review and Revise.
