The ESL Teaching Circle is an integral part of my professional activity and also one of the most beneficial and enjoyable. Below are the links to the sites covering our topics and discussions.
2017-2018 The Content-Based Classroom
2018-2019 The 6 Principles for Exemplary Teaching of English Learners
Faculty Guild
In fall 2018 I was nominated by my Associate Dean to participate in the Faculty Guild on behalf of the ESL department and I accepted the nomination. I was recognized by the Professional Development Center as a Faculty Guild Fellow representing the College. The Faculty Guild position allowed me to work alongside a cohort other peers of various disciplines (from other institutions across the country) as I explored my teaching philosophy and practices. With the help of a trained facilitator, I participated in a term-length program which included weekly reflections, sharing, advising, and receiving feedback.
